The Purifi 1ET7040SA is the big brother of the highly regarded 1ET400A. While the 4 and 8 ohm output is nearly identical to the Purifi 1ET400A, the 1ET7040SA shines for those with sub 4 ohm speaker loads (40A peak current capability vs. 25A peak of the 1ET400A). The Purifi 1ET7040SA is capable of up to 950w of power while maintaining extremely low distortion and noise floor levels.

With it's completely flat frequency response and ultra high power output, a pair of our Purifi 1ET7040SA's are a top tier choice for those with critical 2ch listening setups that utilize extremely hard to drive speakers, allowing for users to hear the source material as it should be without any added distortion or "coloring" of the sound.

VERSION 2 UPDATE: We have updated our 1ET7040SA Mono amplifier to now use a Micro Audio SMPS (model SMPS1K-PFCR2). Compared to our previous v1 model using a Hypex SMPS1200A400, the new v2 model using the Micro Audio SMPS is able to drive the Purifi 1ET7040SA module to full rated power output, unlike most of our competitors. The SMPS1K-PFCR2 also brings with it Active Power Factor Correction.
We also offer installation of an optional add-on PCB board populated with extra capacitors (4x10000uF) from Micro Audio. This board does not alter/enhance sound or playback. Instead, it is meant as an option for those who will be running Full Range speakers (with or without a subwoofer) to prevent possible voltage dips. • 4 ohm - 25.5dB/2.4Vrms (High), 20.5dB/4.2Vrms (Medium), 15.5dB/7.5Vrms (Low)
• 8 ohm - 25.5dB/2.4Vrms (High), 20.5dB/4.2Vrms (Medium), 15.5dB/7.5Vrms (Low)

High input gain setting matches up with the input gain of the Hypex amplifiers, perfect for those wanting to mix Purifi amplifiers with Hypex amplifiers (such as for a home theater setup).

RCA vs. XLR
While our amplifiers use XLR inputs, it is perfectly fine (and fully supported by Purifi) for customers to use RCA to XLR cables to connect the amplifier to a source that only has RCA outputs.

Our cases may not be much to look at, but unlike our competitors who use overseas manufacturing, we have all of our cases manufactured in Nova Scotia, Canada (Protocase, Inc). This is part of our commitment to keep as much of our amplifiers as "home grown" as possible. It also ensures the highest possible quality aluminum and extremely precise CNC manufacturing.
